Well folks, today is my last day guest designing for Neat & Tangled. SOB!  I've had so much fun and the girls on the team are just so sweet!  Thank you Danielle for letting me play with your stamps!

So, here's my card for today.

Love Hearts

***This is my 2nd post of the day.  To see my Fresh Squeezed Stamps post, scroll down or click HERE.***

Hello! Today I'm up on the Avery Elle blog sharing my card featuring Simply Tags Clear photopolymer stamp set!

Rarely can I sit down and create a card with just one stamp set. It's hard for me not to want to combine multiple sets.  However, Simply Tags is so full of goodness that it was so easy!
I've been a little obsessed with hearts and stitching lately. I'm loving it!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hello Sunshine!

Hello Sunshine.
My card today uses the new Fresh Squeezed Stamps set Beachy Keen.

Go-to-Gal Designer Challenge: The Craft’s Meow

*****This is my 2nd post of the day.  For my Fresh Squeezed Stamps Release post, scroll down or click HERE.*****

Hello!  It's time for a Go-to Gal Designer Challenge!

These Designer Challenges allow the Go-to Gals time to play with our stamps really just for fun, but we all use the same manufacturer.  Today, the Go-to Gals, myself included (eek!) are using stamps from  The Craft’s Meow.

For my card, I used Typically Teen.  I love the graphic boldness to this set but it really has a bit of everything - even paint splatter and watercolor brush marks!
So for my card, I pulled out a bunch of my favorite images and layered them to create something a little edgy and very teen/masculine.

Thanks for stopping by my blog but before you go completely, make sure you head over to the other Go-to Gal's blogs to see what they came up with.

Have a great day!

Pucker Up

Hello! I'm back with another card for this month's Fresh Squeezed Stamps release.  Today we're sharing cards with Sublime Citrus. How cute are these fruit wedges?!?!  Eek, anyone else wanna eat a watermelow and drink some lemonade!?!?!
The subtle grid background stamp is from the Background Check set. The enamel dots are Freckled Fawn.

Be sure to stop by the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog HERE to see the rest of the DT projects.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happiest of Birthdays

Totally gotta get a phrase.  Teri, I'm stealing yours for today.
Meet today's card.

It's July release week and today the Fresh Squeezed Stamps DT is sharing cards using Everyday Expressions, you can see the rest of the cards HERE. For my card I pulled out the flowers are leaves and one of the gorgeous sentiments.  The diagonal stripes are from Background Check.

Aren't these sentiments so pretty!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Birthday - DIY Washi Tape

I love washi tape but I'm also super stingy when space in my craft room.  I have an entire room but I won't let myself be overcome by any single trend.  Or at least that's what I keep telling myself... I do buy some washi tape and I use what I have because I've confined my washi tape collection to a single jar.  That's all I can have folks - it's my rule and I stick to it.

When I don't have the perfect washi for a card, I like to use my background stamps to create my own washi tape.  It's super easy and is exactly what I did on this card.
I love it because I can create washi tape in any color or pattern I want!  I simply stamped the background patterns (this is from Fresh Squeezed Stamps Background Check) and then masked along the edges.  Then, I used the same ink and daubers and inked the entire strip to create my washi tape.   Super easy and very pretty.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!

Newton's Nook Designs Launch Party Release 4: Campfire Tails

I'm back today with my final post for Newton's Nook Designs.  Thank you so much Jennifer for letting me help with your launch.
Newton's Nook Designs - Design Team
Today we're sharing cards made with Campfire Tails.  I love these critters but was immediately drawn to the lightening bugs and the stars.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them.
I stamped the clouds using the front and the back of the stamp, then stamps the stars and finally the lightening bugs.  Then, I masked them and added a "glow" to them with my ink daubers.  Last, I added the sentiment, which is from Winged Wishes.  The twine is from the Twinery and the yellow chevron is Bella Blvd washi tape.

Spread Happiness

***For my Newton's Nook Designs release post, scroll down or click HERE!***

Eek, today is the day!  Today is my first post as a Go-to Gal, you can find it here on the Paper Crafts Connection blog.

If you're new here, welcome!  If you've been here before, I'm so excited for you to be back!

To be a Go-to Gal was a dream that I never imagined would come true.  Ever since the day I started stamping, I've tried to keep things in perspective.  I've always tried to remember how and why I stumbled into this hobby in the first place.   Thanks, Ashley! :)

The day I got that invitation to participate in the challenges was a day I'll never forget.  I was humbled and flattered.  Me - did they mean to send that to me?  I went with it, had fun, and enjoyed the experience.  Did I want it? Yes. Did I think it would happen?  Never in a million years.

But it did and here I am!  I am SO excited!  So, eeek!

For today's post on the Paper Crafts Connection blog, I introduced myself with 3 of my past favorite published projects.

Over here, on my personal blog, I thought I'd share a new project that I think illustrates a lot of what I do and love to create.  So, here's my card!
This card introduces me and my personal style in a lot of ways.
  1. I'm always happy.  I'm quirky and goofy.  I wear cat sweaters and mouse shoes.  So, it's no surprise that I absolutely love fun & cute.  While I do venture over to other styles, fun & cute just does it for me.  It makes me giddy and I often let out squeals of joy when I see an adorable, freshly stamped critter.
  2. love journaling cards, a lot!  Die cut shapes, pre-made, or even 12x12 sheets of journaling card paper make my heart skip a beat!  (Maybe even two!)  I love journaling cards so much that I even felt inspired and helped concept Oh Yeah by Avery Elle.
  3. I'm all about the little things.  I love embellishments.  Bakers twine, washi tape, sequins, enamel dots, rounded corners, colored card bases, and I'd even say background stamps... what more could a girl want?
Thank you for stopping by my blog today to learn a little bit more about me!  What do your cards say about your personal style?  Leave me a comment with your answer and if you include your blog info and I'd love to head your way too!
Supplies:
Stamps: Mama Elephant: Up and AwayNeat & Tangled: On the Strip
Dies: My Favorite Things Die-namics: 3x4 Notebook Paper
Washi Tape: Bella Blvd (it's by far my favorite washi tape ever! - rips perfectly!)
Colored Pencils: Faber Castell

Newton's Nook Designs Launch Party Release 3: Winged Wishes

And we're back with more Newton's Nook Designs!  Today we're showcasing Winged Wishes.
Newton's Nook Designs - Design Team
Of all the sets, I have to admit that this set is my favorite!  I see so much opportunity and I just love the little banners!  Adorable all around.

To create my card, I stamped the banner, add on sentiment and birds first onto my 3x4 Notebook Paper die cut shape.  Then, I masked them and stamped the clouds.  Once I had the outlined clouds stamped, I turned the stamp over and used the back of the stamp to stamp a solid cloud shape.

Easy and fun!  I love that combination.

Would you like to win Winged Wishes?
This set will be given away to Two lucky winners!

Newton's Nook Designs Launch Party Release 1: Newton's Antics

A few weeks ago I was approached by sweet Jennifer Jackson to help with the launch of her new stamp company, Newton's Nook Designs.  Yes, please!  These stamps are so cute!
Newton's Nook Designs - Design Team
Today, we're sharing cards made with Newton's Antics.  This kitty is just adorable!

I combined Newton and the ball of yarn with a sentiment from Winged Wishes.  I love how it looks like the yarn is spelling the sentiment.

Cityscape Birthday

Hi! Popping in to share my card that's over on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog today. Today's card features the On Trend 2013 cityscape and speech bubble happy birthday stamps.
I stamped the cityscape twice onto my die cut 3x4 notebook paper (best die ever!).  The background stamp is from Background Check.  I love this background stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Neat & Tangled July Release Scrap Circles

Hello!   Welcome to Day 3 for the July Neat & Tangled release.  Are you excited yet?  I hope so and you will be even more excited after you see today's set - Scrap Circles.

At the moment, I wouldn't consider myself a scrapbooker but I do love to put photos on cards.  So, when I saw this set, I knew exactly how I wanted to use it!   I just needed the perfect photo...

I used a polaroid die cut and printed out a picture I had posted on Instagram.  The circles in the background are from Neat & Tangled Party Dots and the blackish strip of stripes is from On the Strip.

My grandfather has always been one of my biggest fans in life.  He has every card I've ever sent him displayed somewhere in his house.  He's been the inspiration for so many of my projects.   So, I can't wait to send this to him!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Love You - Texture Tiles

This is my 2nd post today.
For my Neat & Tangled July Release post scroll down or click here

Hello!
I'm here today sharing a card I made using Avery Elle's Texture Tiles: Be Cool clear photopolymer stamp set.

To create this card, I 'kissed' the texture tiles to the flowers in Oh Happy Day to give this really cool effect.
I love how by using this technique, you can totally transform your stamps!

Neat & Tangled July Release Ink Splash

I'm back with another Neat & Tangled project!  Today we're featuring Ink Splash!  I love this set.  LOVE LOVE LOVE this set!   This is a stamp set I can see myself pulling out time and time again!
I combined the Ink Splash set with Everyday Circles and the 'you rock' sentiment is from Sparkle and Shine.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Neat and Tangled July Guest Designer

I cannot tell you how excited I am to be the Guest Designer for Neat & Tangled this month.  I love how their images are fresh and right on trend, yet do it all with their own style.  I'm a sucker for handwritten sentiments (or really just sentiments in general!) and I feel like Danielle consistently delivers the most gorgeous sentiments.

All that being said, it didn't surprise me at all that I squealed when I opened the July release package!  Which brings me to today's card.

How fun are these circles?  Eek, I love them!  For this card, I used Everyday Circles and the heart from Just Thinking of You to create a little bokeh effect.  The border stripe is from On the Strip.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
