Avery Elle Blog Hop

Hooray and Happy Halloween!

It's Avery Elle blog hop day!  You should have arrived here from Nina's blog, if not head back to the Avery Elle blog so you don't miss a step!

For the hop, I worked with Avery Elle's Fill in the Blank Holiday.

Disclaimer: if you visited my blog yesterday, you got a sneak peek of my blog hop card...  I've been battling severe abdominal pain for a week, complete with two trips to the ER, and I have seen my general practitioner dr as well as the gastroenterologist.  It's been fun! :)

To create this card, I first partially die cut the MERRY from Cherry card stock.  Then I heat embossed the sentiment in white and adhered it to the card at an angle.  Lastly I adhered some sequins to give the sentiment a little extra meaning and called it good.

Here's a helpful tip - if you wonder how to adhere sequins, I love using glue dots!  They're absolutely easy to use and stick great!

Here's the entire hop list:

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge: Avery Elle

It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it is time for another Paper Crafts magazine Go-to Gal Designer Challenge.  This month, we're focusing on products from Avery Elle!

For my card, I worked with Avery Elle's Fill in the Blank Holiday.  I love all the possibilities with this set!

Now it's off to check out the other Go-to Gals to see how they've used products from Avery Elle.

Weather Together

It's the weekend!  Yahoo!  I'm over on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog with some inspiration for you.

Today, I'm sharing a card that was very fun to make.  I found this inspiration on Pinterest and had to bring it to life in a card.

I loved the sweet rainbow of rain drops.  Had to recreate it - so here's my card.
I used Weather Through to create this card.  This is seriously one of my favorite Fresh Squeezed Stamps sets ever.

Hope you have a great day!

Holiday Bread Wrap

I have to be honest, I am pretty excited to share today's project.  I make a lot of non-card projects.  Especially when it comes to holidays.
You might remember the wine bottle tags I posted earlier here.  Well, here's the project:
After I was done with this wine bottle tag, I was playing with an extra wreath from Avery Elle's Winter Wreath and thought it would make the perfect bread wrap.  So I grabbed some delicious patterned May Arts ribbon and baked some banana bread.  My kids love when my crafting requires props, since generally that means freshly baked bread, cookies, or cupcakes. :)
I had to change up the colors of the ribbon and berries to match the ribbon, but isn't this a great bread wrap?!  I used a basic circle die behind the wreath to stamp the sentiment.
I will definitely be making more of these and handing them out at work and in the neighborhood. :)

JFF: Penguin Pal!

Surprise!  I'm back with another just-for-fun (JFF) card.

Have you seen the amazing Technique Tuesday releases lately?  Um, yeah - adorable stuff there folks!  I seriously squealed when I saw Penguin Pals and now that I've finally had some time to play, I had to put it to use!
I used the new Technique Tuesday Story Card die to create my own journaling card.  Journaling card shaped dies are my favorite because it allows me to create a scene on a card without overtaking the entire card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

JFF: Pretty Congrats

Hello everyone!  I've had a little time to play lately so I have a card to share today that uses a bunch of my favorite stamps.
This card uses lots of my favorites!  I've been on a roll lately with the Avery Elle Build a Banner, the stitched rectangle mat dies by Lil' Inker, and pretty much every Wplus9 set that I can possibly get my hands on!

Do you have any favorite go-to items? What are they? Leave a comment because I'd love to know!

Shining Stars

Happy Saturday!  Just popping in to share my card that's over on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog today!
I have a thing for stars.  I love them.  LOVE!  I'm just drawn to them.  Logically, when I saw the 'shine brightly' sentiment from Say Anything, I had to pair it with one of the stars from Weather Through.

I hope you shine brightly today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Warm Wishes

Hi friends!  Hope you are doing well!  I have a fun little card ready to share!

This card uses Avery Elle's Let It Snow.  As always, the sentiments are gorgeous and those little birdies are just too cute.
I combined Let It Snow with Laurels branches and the bow is from Winter Wreath.
