Diagonal Dies

I managed to steal a minute to create this card over the weekend.
I know, it's different than my normal style!  It's fun to change it up.  I used a stencil to create the feather paper.  Then, I ran it through the Lil' Inker Designs On the Diagonal die twice.  Then, I trimmed a piece of black card stock and heat embossed a sentiment from Lil' Inker's Flags and Tags

That's all for me today - thanks for stopping by!

Sunshine

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!  I am soooo ready for the weekend.  Do you have any plans?
I do and a lot of it will be in my craft room!  YAY!

Ok, to today's card...
I am still loving the new Lil' Inker Designs stitched alpha.  I paired it withe the sun and put the sentiment in front of it.

Super fun and easy and so happy!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge: Echo Park

For my Lil' Inker Designs post, scroll down or click eHERE!!

Hello!  It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for a Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine Go-to Gal Designer Challenge.  It's also our first one with Laina!  Welcome Laina!

This month, we've chosen to work with products from Echo Park!  Eek, I love pattern paper so this was fun for me.
Everything I worked with is from their new Splendid Sunshine 12x12 kit and 6x6 pad.

For my first card, I trimmed out a journaling card from a 12x12 piece of paper and rounded the edges of all 4 corners with my 1/8" corner chomper.  Then, I backed it with a striped patterned paper.  To embellish the journaling card I die cut a heart, also from some patterned paper and added it to my journaling card.
I'm a kraft-paper-aholic.  I love kraft and I can tell you certains krafts work better for certain colors.  I love the Neenah Desert Storm kraft for pretty pastel colors and wow didn't the Avery Elle white pigment ink stamp great on it! :)  Perfect compliments for pretty patterned papers!

Next, I wanted to really have some fun layering!
I pulled out a bunch of my favorite dies and then went to town cutting a bunch of patterned papers.  With a bunch of pieces ready to go, I simply started layering!
I just love the colors of this pretty Echo Park collection!

Now it's off to see what the other Go-to Gals have cooked up with Echo Park papers...
